Baieta, meaning “little kiss” in the Niçois dialect, is on Rue de Pontoise in the Latin Quarter. The chef, originally from Nice, brings the flavours of the Riviera to Paris.
The cooking is sunny and generous, with olive oil, herbs, vegetables and fish, and a much-loved bouillabaisse. Prices are moderate for a starred table, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.
